Jonny Shiell - Branding

Jonny Shiell is a hair stylist who has creativity running through every scissor fingered bone in his body.

Jonny's breadth of clients from DJs and designers to housewifes and pensioners meant that when it came to his new brand identity he needed to convey a more neutral, solid, experienced and above all stylish identity.

A clean, simple sans-serif font was the best choice to convey a solid level of experience through it's timeless feel. A sharp, exciting colour palette was developed for use across the brand and logo depending on it's application.

Savage Hearts Dating

WhiteLabelDating.com had a requirement for Savage Hearts, a new partner site to be designed and built.

Savage Hearts, which is the dating arm of Bizarre Mag needed a homepage designed and built that would fit in with their current branding and really help users get to the place they wanted to be, quickly and easily - the profiles.

The solution used high impact imagery to grab the users attention, with high constrast red areas of the page that required users interaction and allowed them to search the database of profiles.

Hindi Classes

The UK Hindi Society wanted to increase the awareness of their presence and in turn Hindu culture and language.

They wanted an up to date, modern technolgy approach to getting people interested in what they do and want to acheive. It was important to convey the personal nature of the language classes along with the years and years of experience the teachers have in putting together classes for all age groups.

The final outcome with it's bright colours mixed with eathy tones required branding, website design and build along with hosting and domain management which still goes on today.

P.J. Martin Antiques

After years using a tired, old webiste, P.J. Martin wanted to update their website to help increase awareness of their store in Eton, Berkshire.

Working closely with a developer we built the site help promote his vast range of antiques with the aim to be able to sell them online in phase 2 of the project.

The final website was created in under a week due to time and budgetary constraints and P.J. Martin was really happy with the results.

Paul Caudell Photography

Paul Caudell wanted a website that let his photography work take centre stage on a new web presence.

Since going live this project has changed little with the emphasis still entirely on the photography. In keeping with the theme of the work a lightbox was used to bring the photography out of the page and act as a gallery tool for to focus the attention of the users to allow them to get a real feel for Paul's work.

Effortless Eating

As part of a skill swap programme I pitched to do the website for Effortless Eating in return for catering services at my wedding.

Chris Burns didn't have a web presence but did have a solid brand in place. This made pitching for this a little easier as we had a colour palette, a logo and a look and feel. As Chris' business card was well established in the industry it felt right to include them on the homepage so that was a direct relationship between the online and offline work to carry through the brand.

Adele Kemp

As part of a skill swap programme I swapped a design and build of a website for Adele's excellent florist services.

Adele needed no more than a couple of pages designed and built along with domain and hosting management. There was no solid branding to go on so the first job was to create a logo that was going to work with the her offline material and one that reflected her personality and style. From there the website flourished into a place where she could showcase her work and users could read the wonderful testimonials she gets after every job. The currently live site takes a bit of a backwards step and I wasn't involved with it's design.

Windsor Bride

As part of a skill swap programme Windsor Bride offered up a wedding dress in return for design, build and mantainence of a website.

There was little or no branding for the shop so the first job was to create a look and feel that fitted with the branding that did exist. Then, after a photoshoot, at the shop in Windsor and talking with Nicola the website came together quickly. The aim was to create a sophisticated look and feel that let the dresses do the talking whilst using a funnel system to get the users to get in touch with the shop to book appointments.

Anu Caudell

To promote Anu's mendhi artist talents she needed a website and brand that would move her from a word of mouth reccommendation to someone who was searched for.

It was important that the design gave a real feel for the experience Anu has along with the friendly, personal service she offers. Anu had no brand at all so we had a clean slate to create something that was really special.

I'm not finished crafting this project but it will be soon so visit again and find the link to the live site below.
